I am a first-year PhD student in Operations Research in the Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering (MIE) at the University of Toronto. I am fortunate to be advised by Peyman Mohajerin Esfahani (Mechanical & Industrial Engineering, University of Toronto), Vahid Roshanaei (Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto), and Amir Ardestani-Jaafari (Faculty of Management, University of British Columbia).

Before starting my PhD, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and Statistics and a Master of Engineering with an emphasis in Data Analytics & Machine Learning, both at the University of Toronto.

Research interests

My research spans decision-making under uncertainty, with a particular interest in applications to health care. Topics I work on include:

• Stochastic programming
• Robust optimization
• Online algorithms
• Inverse optimization
